What is Therapoint Trigger Point Massager?
Therapoint Trigger Point Massager is a specialized massage tool designed to target and release trigger points in the trapezius muscle, which is a large muscle that spans the upper back, shoulders, and neck. It is a unique, lobster-shaped device with 14 strategically placed nodules or “trigger point nodes” that apply pressure to the specific areas where trigger points commonly form in the trapezius muscle.
How Does It Work?
The Therapoint Massager works by applying direct pressure on the trigger points, which are hyperirritable spots or knots in the muscle fibers. These trigger points can cause referred pain, muscle tightness, and restricted range of motion.
By applying sustained pressure on these points, the massager helps to disrupt the pain-spasm cycle, increase blood flow, and flush out metabolic waste, ultimately leading to muscle relaxation and pain relief.
The Pros of Therapoint Trigger Point Massager
- Targeted relief for upper back, neck, and shoulder pain caused by trigger points.
- Utilizes your own body weight for customizable pressure.
- Designed by medical professionals for optimal trigger point release.
- Portable and easy to use at home.
- Durable construction with firm, high-density foam.
- Provides a deep stretch for the chest muscles.
The Cons of Therapoint Trigger Point Massager
- May cause initial discomfort as trigger points are released.
- Requires some effort and movement to target all areas of the trapezius.
- Not suitable for those with certain medical conditions like osteoporosis.
- Potential for overuse or improper technique leading to muscle strain.
- More expensive than basic massage tools like foam rollers.
How to Use Therapoint Trigger Point Massager
Using the Therapoint Massager is relatively simple:
- Place the massager on a flat surface, such as the floor or a bed.
- Lie down with your spine centered on the device, ensuring that the nodules are positioned along the trapezius muscle.
- Adjust your position until you feel the nodules pressing into the trigger points or tight areas.
- Relax and allow your body weight to apply pressure on the nodules for 5-10 minutes.
- You can move slightly from side to side or up and down to target different areas of the trapezius muscle.
Is Therapoint Trigger Point Massager Legit?
Yes, it’s legit. The Therapoint Trigger Point Massager has been designed and recommended by top chiropractors and a team of medical professionals, ensuring its effectiveness and safety.
The unique lobster shape of the Therapoint is precision-engineered to match the trapezius muscle, which is home to 14 naturally occurring trigger points. This design allows for targeted and effective trigger point release.

Where to Buy the Therapoint Trigger Point Massager?

Therapoint Trigger Point Massager Customer Reviews
Took two days, couple minutes at a time for my pain to subside due to pinched nerve. So far, really impressed. By third day could actually lay on it properly – on the bed. Haven’t tried the floor yet again, working my way up. Great product.
I like this neck stretcher as it long enough to reach down beyond your neck to your upper back. I work on the computer regularly and my neck and upper back often gets tense. Just 5 minutes on the stretcher helps to stretch and relief the tension in my neck and upper back.
Really helps loosen a tight trap muscle.
I constantly have so much tension in my neck and shoulders. In less than 10 minutes of using this device, I felt like a brand new person. Highly recommended.
I had a straight neck spine, physio had me laying on a rolled towel behind my neck to reinstate the curve.Found this and it does 100% better job than the towel and also helps with relaxing between the shoulders.I highly recommend this 👌
I received this item promptly and used it promptly (as in immediately), which I don’t do. OMG, this is a wonderful therapy gadget. It is not hard plastic. You don’t usually expect to get comfort and pain relief, but with this, I felt both. I am not a person who only writes positive reviews; I write honest reviews. The nodes on the item are effective. The only concern I may have is whether the surface will wear out with continuous use. I am on the smaller side, both vertically and sideways.I saw some negative reviews. I suspect they have not used these self-help pain relief gadgets in the past, or it may not suit their body type. All I would say is get and experience it. I am optimistic that you will not return.Enjoy if you decide to buy it.
i’ve cycled though a thousand of these types of products. but i do like how this elevates my upper body. it gives me a good chest and shoulder stretch. one drawback is the nodes aren’t hard enough. i like it rough.
I have suffered from neck, shoulder and upper Back pain for a while because of work and travel and always being on a computer. This device is amazing! I delete and immediate release. I’m on day 4 and I can’t believe how much it has increased my ability to relax a little bit. I have other devices I use as well but I’m adding this to my routine now! Recommend giving it a try! I wish there was a version of this for my lower back and hip area!!!
I’ve tried so many different products to get my back and neck to loosen up and this one works for me. It is slow going because the muscles have tightened up so much over the years but i can feel the difference after a few uses. I now have a slight gain in range of motion with my neck. Only other thing that comes close is getting massages but they cost $135 a pop!
Very well made, but it needed to be a little smaller to fit/align properly for me. I even brought it to PT to see if I was doing something wrong. The therapist said there was a gap behind my neck. Fit a slightly bigger patient just fine.
It’s that good. Lay on it every day for 10-15 minutes. Helps with posture, alignment, stretching, and slightly massaging.
This has been an answer to my prayersWhen I need to release the stress and tension from my body this is my go to tool. Stretches my spine and help to circulate the blood in my back and neck relieving daily stress. I was a little sore at first but believe me you’ll get adjusted to it. Worth every cent.
Releases tension by targeting pressure points
I don’t do reviews. I have neck and lower back pain. I workout 5 days a week and I’m 52 so I hurt! But this thing is my sidekick. I flip it around and put the bigger side in my glutes. I sit with it while I watch tv. I daily lay on it for 10 min. It really is one of my fav purchases. I have the muscle gun, neck massager, full body massager and a tens pro unit which all are great. But this is quick and easy fix. Try it!!
I love this. I use it every morning
I used this almost every day, I use it in the car while driving for neck support actually! My drive to and from used to be a struggle but not anymore! Thanks!!!
Helps stretch out your neck and upper back
Easy to use. Read instructions first to familiarize yourself with what you should and should not feel using it.It’s so simple and works immediately. I use it 10 -15 minutes at a time twice daily. I have tried everything to relieve my neck pain and horrific headaches. I wanted to find relief without drugs. I feel so good after using it. Nothing will cure my neck but this gives me the instant relief I have been looking for. I am in control of treating my neck for once in a very longtime. I use other simple items in my treatment also but the addition of this device is a life changer!
I’m sitting all my day and not often not having a good posture, after work I use it and it make me fell good in 10 minutes. I love it! And use it minimum 3 days a week.
Although I use different self massage equipment at home, I still have stiff neck and shoulders due to using computers for long hours. After laying down on this unique back and neck stretcher for about ten minutes, I feel relaxed and refreshed and I can turn my neck to sides without pain. It was not very comfortable at the beginning, but after trying few times and finding the right spots, it became easier to lay on it. The foam is medium soft, and it does not deform.
I really like this product. It’s lightweight and easy to use. The foam is much softer than others so it stays very comfortable for a lot longer and doesn’t get painful. There are no big neck bumps but a wonderful large cervical curve. I prefer this as it gives your neck a full stretch and it’s fully supported. The lobster looking one doesn’t give full neck support and the big bumps make my neck go numb. It’s a lot cheaper than other products too. I really like this product and recommend it.
Small and light weight so it’s easy to store away when not in use. Design is sleek looking. As far as comfort I would start slow as if used incorrectly it could cause more pain.
I bought this for my husband and waoooo it really helps his constant back pain. I will buy another one for myself 😍
This feels like about the sturdiness of our basic black foam roller; nothing very soft about it. I get migraines mainly from tension headaches. Using this with the provided exercises (like stretching my arms above my head) really seems to dig into my neck and spine and help lesson the frequency of my headaches. It is a good tool to have in the toolbox for preventative relief from migraines! My one negative is that it drops off completely after the last vertebrae foam portion, so when using it you sort of feel where the support ends. I might put a folded blanket there to support my lower back when using this.
I have frequent tension headaches and this thing is awesome for when I need to relax. I try to spend about 10-15 minutes on it before bed and I find it really helps prevent pain.
Edit: After several months I’m still very happy with this tool. I even bring it with me when I travel, which is inconvenient, but still easier than trying to find someone to massage out my knots. I think this product would have much better reviews if the manufacturer provided illustrated instructions.I keep meaning to ask my chiropractor about this device to make sure I’m using it properly, but I haven’t needed to book an appointment since I started using it. The instructions that come with it are vague so I’ve experimented with arm positions until I found a routine that loosens up my tight shoulders. I use it right before bed, setting my watch timer to make sure that I stick to the 10 mins limit per session, and I find it very relaxing. I start with my arms at 90º to help open up my chest and then slowly rotate my shoulders, pausing at points where my muscles are knotted up. It also works at loosening up my neck muscles. Great product and highly recommend.
I have arthritis in my neck and this device really helps stretch the neck and upper back muscles and is relaxing and comfortable. Reminds me of traction at physical therapy. Well worth the money for the relief it provides.
At first, I was skeptical and though that it looks a little weird. Then I tried it once on the floor and OMG, what a great relaxing and relieving sensation! Then my wife found out that this is also great when watching TV on our couch! It supports our necks higher than the back of the couch and allows a relaxing posture!
After I use this, I literally do not want to get up. I get a lot of tension in my shoulders and neck. This is a great stretching tool without being too rough. There are stretches recommended in the box and I have been great with them. Definitely works best on a solid surface.
It took me a few tries to get it positioned correctly. I finally got it in the right place by grabbing the end that sits about mid-back. Once I adjusted it, though, it was comfortable and helped alleviate an ache I had.My spouse tried it too and said, “I can’t see doing this for 10 minutes.” But I could. I got it in just the right spot and really didn’t want to get up!
Super simple and super effective neck relaxer/traction device. I lay on it for a few minutes with my arms by my side then a few minutes with my arms up by my head and it seriously helps with my tight neck and shoulders. I use it a few minutes everyday and it has helped my back and neck from getting tight during the day.
I hurt my neck back in March, and while it doesn’t hurt all the time I still find it stiff to lay on my stomach with my head turned. Well I used this once after getting it and I felt a slight pop at one point while on it. That night I tried laying on my stomach and I could actually turn my head either direction with almost no discomfort! I can’t vouch for long term use or pain relief but it definitely helped my neck realign after being injured.
When I first go this I was like there is no way that is going to be comfortable and surprise it was not!! With all that being said it takes a bit to get used to it which is probably why they say no more than 10 minutes on it. At first, I was like only about 45 seconds and I did not like the way it was feeling but I did notice that my back and neck did feel better so I endured. As time went on I was able to lay on it longer and it really does give me a great stretch.
It takes a little time to get used to it, but after you do, you will get great results
I’ve been struggling with neck and shoulder tension for a while, and the TheraPoint Trigger Point Massager has been a lifesaver! 😌 The upper back massage point and cervical traction feature provide incredible relief, and I can feel the tension melting away after just a few minutes of use. The device is well-designed, and the chiropractic pillow provides excellent support for my neck and spine. I’ve also experienced significant TMJ pain relief using this product. The black color looks sleek and stylish, making it a great addition to my relaxation routine. Highly recommend this product for anyone seeking natural relief from neck and shoulder discomfort! 👍🖤
Did the trick. Nice material. When the foam roller isn’t get the job done, this might be what you are looking for.
This actually relieves neck, traps muscle tension. Maneuver around to find correct position and relax.
I had a stiff neck for over 5 days. I remembered I had bought this product for a different neck pain, which it helped with. I used this product for 10 minutes and my neck pain was almost gone and I was able to my head.I am very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone with neck/back probp. It worked for me, it will work for you.
I love this item! I use it during the day to relieve tension from working at desk and typing. I used a towel over it the first week because of how stiff I was, but loosened up quickly. Definitely do the arm motions, as long as you can tolerate it, it works.
I have terrible cramping in my back and neck – primarily my upper back, shoulders and neck. I find it often starts or travels to my lower back. I sit at a computer all day and have a lot of stress and this all causes headaches that start at the base of my skull. Our new vacation home is 12 hours away and that drive usually set me back as far as my neck and back discomfort. I bought this out of desparation and it helped me survive the drive this past week. I use it on my bed for about 10 minutes as shown in the pictures provided for relief and it worked. I also used it in the car while driving as someone suggested – I used it in various positions for much of the drive and it helped to support my back on the uncomfortable car seat. I did not arrive at my destination in pain! Only complaint is that it is very hard; it would be nicer if it was just a littled more pliant or softer – especially the part that fits to your neck.
I’ve been to the chiropractor, had regular massage therapy, been a regular yogi for the past 10+ years & nothing has made the difference this thing makes for the tension headaches & low back pain & then consequently pulled back muscles. I aim for sleeping on my back (w/out a pillow) but am a side sleeper by nature, when I do I often curl up into a ball & end up shortening all the muscles on whichever side I sleep on then end up with any combination of a headache/low back pain/leg cramps, plantar fasciitis & sometimes even hand pain. This thing has been a game changer for me – I use for 10 min of so nightly to keep thing loose, but just using for 10 min when I have a tension headache starts to loosen my upper back & pectoral muscles, then I can slowly stretch out the other muscles (glutes, ham strings, arms when needed etc) for a few minutes & I’m left with the tiniest tension headache that goes away within a few hours.
It offers some relaxation but not the stretch I was looking for but still nice after a long day
I have suffered from upper back and neck issues most of my adult life. This product is a game changer for me. It gives relief to tight muscles and helps release tension. I highly recommend this to anyone with back issues.
It relaxes my neck! Perfect! Thank you!
Adult daughter was complaining of neck/ shoulder, upper back pain and I was having to massage Knots out of her shoulders blades frequently. As she says when it is no longer uncomfortable to lay on this (ten minutes) ,sit up and gently twist body and her back will pop. She isn’t complaining as much and I am not massaging as much any more. Seems to hit all the pressure point to relief the knots in her back. She uses several times a week . Worth the money. Never hurts to give it a try.
Not too hard. Really helping me to keep my neck & back pain under control.
Neck injuries lead to multi layered fusion, which remains painful and uncomfortable no matter what I do. Most importantly things get worse with activities, causing not only pain but nausea, migranes irritability, you know the drill if you have chronic issues. The day this gadget came in the mail I had just driven a 90 mile round trip total about 1.5 hrs driving plus a but of a sit around. After the trip things started to lock up per usual, this time I was able to prevent the worse of it with this thing. Potentially saved me from an extended recovery just to get to a baseline level, so we’ll worth it.I picked this one due to the bit that goes under the back, which in my case is also affected by the injuries by unaltered through surgeries. It was nice over items with out it because I could pin it where i needed. At fist a close to the shoulders so I could fully relate my neck supported, then I moved it closer to the base of my skull for a bit of a stretch. I even slept on this thing for a few hours, I may like it better than most pillows I have tried.Definitely worth a strong consideration if you need some help with upper back and neck issues, even if it’s just super tight from stress this thing would have to help.
The neck and shoulder relaxer is okay, but the bumps are a little soft, so if you’re looking for more concerted pressure, I’d keep this in mind.
I am laying on this for the first time as I write this review. It feels so amazing and it’s hitting all of the tender and tense areas down my spine. It’s unlike anything I’ve ever tried before. Just try it! Heaven!
I am very impressed with this product. I had an injury to the upper back, neck, and shoulder a few years ago that causes me to struggle with pain and weakness. Once I positioned myself properly, I felt instant relief and I highly recommend this product.
I bought this for my mom, and she says it is truly amazing!!!!!! My mom has tremendous pain in her back and she uses it for 10 minutes and the pain goes away. She loves this.
I have chronic cervical and thoracic pain. Muscles are always sore. This helps with back pain, AND headache pain. I’m honestly shocked at how much it helps in such a short time. If you’re in pain it’s definitely worth trying!
I was surprised to find out how much this actually improves my neck and back issues. It does work best on a hard surface so down on the floor it goes. (I do use it on the carpet so the rest of my body doesn’t suffer). I generally lay on it about 10-15 minutes and I find when I miss a session I pay for it later. It really eases the kinks after sitting at my desk for hours and even if I’m not, I miss it when I don’t use it. The knobs hit all the important spots and I can feel all the tension seeping away. I did not notice any real benefits for about the first week but once I learned to relax into it and some of those super sore spots released I found it worked a lot better. Definitely a winner!
The picture of the person laying in bed with this was intriguing. This however, works best when laying on the floor. Just wish you could purchase different sizes for taller people etc.
I didn’t know I needed this until I bought it! It works very well for people who sleeps with their shoulders up like me I have a trouble putting down my shoulders when I sleep and every time I wake up my back and shoulders ache, so I use this for the week to see if it worked and it worked tremendously I had a little neck or back pain and that week and I am continuing to use it overalls a great product definitely recommend!
This neck & shoulder traction device/support is amazing! :)It’s not comfortable at first because it’s doing its job – releasing tense, tightened muscles. If you can handle the initial discomfort you’ll start to feel tension you didn’t even know you had release from your neck, shoulders, & spine. :)The more you use it the better the results, relief, & comfort.I’d definitely recommend it! :)
I use this daily with my denneroll from my chiropractor. If you need maintenance in between visits from a chiropractor and massage therapist this thing works pretty great. I have pretty extreme back pains and anything that can help me relieve it is a a plus in my book. The only thing I wish is that it went all the way down my spine so I could relieve all the symptoms. But all in all if I had to give this a grade I’d say it’s a A- but only cuz I want it to go down my spine more.I’ll lay on it and move my arms to feel the stretch and I’ll push up with my feet to feel it rub/push my trigger points.
I was concerned as the reviews were mixed but I really like this device. Calling it a traction tool is a bit of a stretch. I can comfortably reach lots of sore spots at once vs using my Theracane one spot at a time. And the firmness of the knobs works for me. I’m using it primarily in a zero-gravity recliner so if I want greater force I can bend my knees more or raise or stretch my arms out. I particularly like how it gets into the inside of my shoulder blades. My only ccomplaint is that to engage the top two knobs on the head I’ve got to tip my head back more than I’d like…but I guess that’s what they consider traction.
Been suffering from bad neck pain lately, tried over the counter creams but didn’t help, I then discovered this product and wanted to give it a try, it is a lifesaver! It helped with both neck and shoulder pain and stiffness, even my head feels lighter now. It is very comfortable and very easy to use, I highly recommend it.
I have tmj issues and have been seeing a physical therapist who says how tight my shoulders and neck are is exacerbating the issue. Got this to help stretch my neck out and maybe try and loosen up my muscles. not sure if it is working yet but it feels amazing.
Over the years, I’ve learned that so often, the root of so many of my aches and pains come from some sort of misalignment of my body. That’s especially true for a lot of my headaches. I’ve learned how to readjust a few things on my own, but sometimes it greatly helps with the right tools to aide in that realignment. This is such a tool. It really helps with realigning my upper back bones which also helps sooth sore muscles.Sometimes it will be somewhat painful to use. That’s often when I’m really out of shape. You do not use this for too long. Just a few minutes will do the trick. One key point is to make sure that you relax your entire body, especially the muscles along your neck and upper back. Good breathing will help. It also helps to raise your knees. Once you do that, things will fall into place. You might even hear and feel some cracking.I find this device very helpful, especially if I’ve allowed my body to fall forward too much. Reading and computer work will often do that to me. That’s when this device comes to my rescue.
